Part 5.2 of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 may make an accommodation provider liable to make good the loss of a guest’s property in certain
circumstances even though the loss is not caused by the fault of the accommodation provider, or the provider’s agent.
The liability of the accommodation provider under the Act
• applies only to a guest of the accommodation provider;
• applies only for the period for which the guest is provided accommodation;
• is limited to $300 for each room provided for the use of the guest on the day, unless the guest’s property was placed in a safekeeping service;
• is limited to $3000 for each room in respect of a guest’s property that was placed in a safekeeping service (excluding a safe in a room);
• does not cover motor vehicles and property owned by the guest left in or on a motor vehicle.
Part 5.2 does not limit any other right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer
Law and Fair Trading Act 2012.
If cancelled 0 to 1 days prior to arrival – 100% of the total amount will be forfeited.
If cancelled 0 to 7 days prior to arrival – 100% of the deposit will be forfeited.
If cancelled 7 or more days prior to arrival – 0% of the total amount will be forfeited.
Guest must check in on scheduled day. No reduction in price after booking will be considered. Management reserve the right to cancel any bookings at their discretion. If you do not arrive at the property “No Show” you will be charged the total amount of your booking.
NO PARTY POLICY: Aspire Melbourne enforces a strict 24/7 no party policy and any guests found to be in breach, may face a non-refundable eviction.
NO SMOKING POLICY: Aspire Melbourne enforces a strict 24/7 no smoking policy throughout the property and in apartments (including balconies) any guests found to be in breach, may face a $500 fine and eviction.
PAYMENT POLICY: First night deposit due 7 days prior to check in date and the remaining balance to be settled on arrival. If the first night deposit declines, we will attempt to contact you for 24hrs and thereafter, the reservation will be cancelled. The physical debit or credit card used for payment and pre-authorisation must be presented on check-in by the cardholder with valid photo ID for card ownership. Credit card surcharges apply – Visa and MasterCard payments incur a 1.4% cost of acceptance fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Free cancellation outside 7 days prior to check in date. Non-refundable deposit of first night within 7 days of check in date. Non-refundable full balance after check-in.
SECURITY BOND: A pre-authorisation for the security bond is required on check in of $250.00. Cash bonds not accepted. The debit or credit card used for pre-authorisation must be presented on check-in by the cardholder with valid photo ID for card ownership and will remain pending with your bank up until 7 days post your departure date.
CAR PARKING: Aspire Melbourne do not have on-site parking, please contact Reception for paid car parking options in the surrounding area.
ROOM REQUESTS: Apartments vary in view, layout, furniture package and bedding configuration. A request for a specific apartment cannot be guaranteed. All images shown are examples and indicative only. High floor or similar requests are subject to availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
HOUSEKEEPING: If you have booked a stay of 8 days or more, you will receive a weekly service. This includes, linen replenishment, towel replacement, replenishment of toilet paper and amenities and top up of tea/coffee. Stays less than 8 nights receive starter kit of supplies and housekeeping will not enter the room for the duration of the stay. Extras must be supplied by the guest or purchased from reception.
CHECK IN: The registered guest under the booking name must check in and provide valid photo ID and debit or credit card in their name. Minimum age for check-in is 21 years of age. If an additional guest will be arriving at an earlier scheduled time, please contact us to arrange for their name to be added to the reservation in advance. The registered guest must check in on the scheduled day and no refunds will be given for ‘no shows’. Aspire Melbourne reserves the right to cancel reservations made with system errors resulting in incorrect availability & rates at their discretion.
